The D-Link 2630L is a great choice for a home security IP camera because it offers excellent video clarity, hardly any latency and almost every feature you could want in an IP camera. The image quality isn’t the best at night or at a distance, but it works well in low-lit areas.

The camera is easy to set up, works great through cell phones, and the 180-degree view shows the entire room. For indoor surveillance, you can't get much better than the D-Link DCS-2630L at this price point.

The price of the D-Link DCS-2630L ($159) is in the medium range, but because it doesn't offer cloud storage, you don't have to pay anything extra per month. So if you don't care about saving your videos to the cloud, this might be a good option.

D-Link’s DCS-2630L is the best WiFi camera I’ve seen. It provides clear Full-HD videos at day and night with the ability to store them directly to an SD card or upload them to a remote location.

D-Link’s DCS-2630L is a pretty attractive camera, with the kind of customizable security features we’ve seen in only a handful of models like the Simplicam and the Flir FX. It’s a bummer, though, that those features aren’t accessible through the mobile app. A big appeal of the DIY home security movement is having the means to monitor your abode at your fingertips no matter where you are. That’s significantly undermined if you need to log in to a website from a computer.

If you are specifically looking for a wide-angle DIY indoor camera with local storage, the D-Link DCS-2630L will work well. Just don't expect stellar design or a headache-free setup process.

There are certainly benefits to using a home security company that provides round the clock monitoring and we are not suggesting that this, or any stand-alone camera is intended to replace that. But if your needs are less strict, and your goal is to be able to keep on a remote location, an area of your home or business or the many other uses a Wi-Fi connected camera presents, the DCS2630L HD Wi-Fi camera is a solid product with the features and flexibility to allow you to do whatever you need, and maybe more.

If you're not looking for a security system but want an HD webcam with the ability to save clips locally and a huge wide-angle lens, D-link has the answer.

The D-Link Full HD Ultra-Wide View Wi-Fi Camera DCS-2630L beats out most of its competition with its impressive list of features, especially when you add in the fact that you can watch a complete room without the need to pan or tilt a camera and the fact that you won't be paying a monthly fee for cloud storage. This security camera provides affordable, dependable, state of the art peace of mind. What more could you possibly want from a security camera?

Overall, D-Link's Wi-Fi camera provides more features and a wider viewing angle than the $199 Nest Cam, it's cheaper, and it's not bound by any cloud subscription plan.

The world we live in seems to be getting more hostile all the time. Whether this is true or simply the impression we get from being so connected makes little difference. It only makes sense that one would want to gain as much peace of mind as possible; especially when you are away.

The Full HD Ultra-Wide View Wi-Fi Camera (DCS-2630L) is an impressive home security camera. Packed with features such as ultra wide field of view, passive infrared sensor and local video recording it offers more than its closest competitors at this point in time.

The DCS-5020L and DCS-2630L sit on a table or shelf so moving them is as simple as unplugging power, moving and plugging back in. The DCS-2330L was also moved, and with a cordless drill/driver removal and install in a new location takes only a few minutes. Since the cameras all connect via Wi-Fi, within a few seconds of power they have reconnected to the router and are available on the D-Link apps and mydlink website.

The new D-Link DCS-2630L Wi-Fi camera has all the options you can possibly need. With the variety that D-link has to offer, it’s easy to set up an effective home security or monitoring system on your own. This new option means that even if you have larger rooms, or an open floor plan, one camera will cover the area.

This is a review of the D-Link WiFi Camera DCS-2630L. This is D-Link’s latest flagship WiFi or IP Camera released earlier in 2016. Although this is not a Pan and Tilt IP Camera, its wide angle HD coverage may potentially outshine a lot of the mid and high end Pan and Tilt WiFi Cameras in the market now. More details will be shared in the later part of this review.
